Notre équipe s'intéresse à cette plasticité neurale au cours des processus de mémorisation d’une information, mais aussi d’oubli. L'oubli, souvent considéré comme délétère surtout lorsqu’on évoque la souffrance engendrée par la maladie d’Alzheimer, peut en effet être aussi un processus bénéfique nous permettant de désapprendre des informations qui ne sont plus d'actualité (informations temporairement stockées en mémoire à court-terme qui ne sont pas essentielles à retenir en mémoire à long-terme), ou qui sont potentiellement traumatiques (stress post-traumatique).
